"World Pest Day" Hainan launches summer and autumn patriotic health 100-day special project

The purpose is to mobilize the whole province to act quickly through the special project action, everyone participates and everyone takes action, and jointly does a good job in dengue epidemic prevention and control in Hainan Province. With a clean, tidy and beautiful environment, it will help Hainan Province's COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control and help Hainan Free Trade Port construction.

The special project requires all localities to carry out in-depth environmental sanitation rectification focusing on cleaning up mosquito vector breeding sites. Among them, it is required to comprehensively remove the breeding environment of mosquitoes in urban and rural areas. Urban areas should focus on cleaning up and rectifying the breeding environment of mosquitoes in key places such as construction sites, schools, unit communities, markets, etc., and uniformly organize the cleaning of flower nurseries, waste collection stations, tire storage points, abandoned old factories, garbage bins (houses, stations), public toilets and other key hidden danger places, as well as park green spaces, various ditches, manholes and basements in urban and rural areas. In rural areas, we will focus on strengthening regional rectification efforts such as livestock and poultry farms, livestock sheds, farmers' markets, and farmers' courtyards. We will promptly clean up livestock and poultry manure, regularly clean up water in livestock and poultry drinking troughs (pots), clean up debris, weeds, and garbage in front of and behind houses, fill depressions and stagnant ponds, dredge ditches and pipelines, and strengthen the cleaning of household toilets.

The special project requires all localities to implement the comprehensive control principle of 'environmental management as the main priority, supplemented by drug disinfection and sterilization', and rely on disease control institutions at all levels and vector biological control companies to do a good job of mosquito vector monitoring and evaluation and disinfection and sterilization to ensure control effects. All localities should strengthen mosquito vector monitoring, carry out mosquito vector density monitoring every half month, especially strengthen the monitoring of key places such as construction sites, schools, unit residential areas and farmers' markets, and uniformly carry out chemical disinfection and sterilization of places with high mosquito vector density to effectively reduce the density of adult mosquitoes. All localities should combine the needs of epidemic prevention and control to form emergency disinfection and sterilization teams, effectively improve the ability of emergency disinfection and sterilization, and cut off the transmission route of dengue fever.

In addition, it is required to mobilize everyone to participate, and the majority of residents should do a good job of family mosquito control and mosquito control, by cleaning up water in their homes, using physical mosquito control and the use of mosquito repellent, etc., to create a hygienic and healthy home environment, and help special projects to carry out.
